You are considering the minority, who may know just a little bit more than you on the topic you are about to start talking about.

This is a major mistake.

Why?

You need to concentrate on the people that will benefit from your talk.

You’ve got something that even the minority will get advantages from.

And the key to all this is simple.

Preparation.

Think about your audience, who is the average joe coming to your speech, what does he know, what does he want to know, what will incite him and make him listen thoroughly to what you want to point out, and how can you make him understand your speech?

It’s not that troublesome, its fundamentally good to start at that point, remember the spectators want to know what you are thinking and you need to keep them interested.

Rehearse.

Practice the speech again, and again, and again.

So rehearse your speech and hear yourself while doing it.

Talk in an assured and confident way. Talk about things you know very well. Let your confidence and experience shine thru and if you do this right, you may own your audience.

Think about your entrance and the first couple of minutes of your speech. Focus on the way you walk in, project confidence and calm, don’t dive into anything, even if you are late or under a tight schedule do everything slowly and solemnly.

Make certain you get the center of the spectators, and start confidently.

That way you may have public speaking confidence and begin mastering public speaking.
